About Us
The Purled Possum started as a way to play with color and create unique ideas based on some of my favorite things.
What would Castiel and Dean Winchester look like if they were a skein of yarn? Well, blues and greens obviously, but which shades? How do they blend? How cool would it be to knit a pair of socks inspired by an awesome fandom? (Very Cool, is the answer to the last one of course)
Another huge part of my creations are my pride colors. Corporations put out rainbows in June, some of the more daring ones might even call it pride, but by July it's on the clearance rack, if it wasn't pulled off the shelves because of customer complaints.
I'm a queer and trans artist. I'm part of the community, and it's my hope that my yarn reaches out to other crafters in this community. I'll never back down from that, and my pride collection will always be front and center.
When you support small queer businesses, you are voting with your dollar, and helping the community thrive.
So whether you're a self professed geek, LGBTQ, a color enthusiast, or an art yarn admirer, I'm glad you're here!
Yours in Yarn,
Saro Warren
